There are so many varieties of the styles, shapes and sizes of cages for your cockatiels, there are even different ones to fit the decor in your home. Always be aware that cockatiels are very messy and they can throw seeds where you couldn't believe.

When you buy a cage, make sure there are plenty of perches, cockatiels love to climb and they need a good perch to sleep on like we need a bed, Most cages have a pull out door for cleaning and feeding dishes are inside the cage. There is a" Play Pen" which is delightful to the cockatiel, it comes with bells, bars, and latter's they can climb up and down.

Another good investment is a bird-bath. They make them to hang on the inside of the cage or you can buy one to sit on the bottom of the cage where they like to splash and get cool.

These are just some of the cages you can pick up at the store, a cockatiel cage can take up lots of space and it would be advisable to get a seed catcher for the bottom of the cage. As I said earlier, they are a messy bird.
